We’re proud to be in hundreds of hospitals around the country in any given year, but it’s also nice to celebrate the successes of those who are in our hometown here outside Philadelphia. One that’s near and dear to many of us is Doylestown Hospital, which at 20 minutes from the corporate office, has provided care for many of the families on our team – as well as being a long-time client of ours.

A few days ago, Doylestown opened a new, state-of-the art ED — a two-year, $87 Million project which at 55,000 square feet, more than quadruples the size of the previous facility.

In the past decade, the hospital had seen more than a 50% increase in ED visits. The new facility includes 39 private treatment rooms (each with its own bathroom, flat screen TV and wireless internet access), dedicated pediatric and minor acute care centers, advanced capabilities for dealing with hazmat and bioterrorism incidents, and more.

By the way, Doylestown Hospital is also home to a highly-mobile workforce of 360 independent physicians, and has recently been ranked in the top 5% in the country in terms of patient safety. You can see images and more information about the new facility at http://www.dh.org/body.cfm?id=971
